チョとバイクとUNHCR

 

何日か遅れの、チョコケーキと珈琲。

UNHCRからレバノンシリア緊急支援の封筒が届く。

バイクで走ることは別に正義でもなく、誰をも納得させる理由など、僕には提出できない。

国連の難民支援活動に、わずかな金額を寄付するのも、同じことだ。

今の僕にとって精一杯の寄付額が、こんなにも少ないことに、少々驚きもするのだが。

3つのことは、すべて同じ地平でつながている。

そういう世界を、僕は生きている。

Chocolate cake and coffee, a few days late.

An envelope arrives from the UNHCR providing emergency aid for Lebanon and Syria.

Riding a motorbike is not particularly righteous, and I can't come up with a reason that would convince everyone.

So is donating a small amount to the UN's refugee support activities.

All three of these things are connected on the same level.

This is the world I live in.
